§ 12-178. Administration and funding.

(a)

Responsibility for administration of this article is vested with the chief of police.

(b)

The chief of police may designate an alarm administrator to carry out the duties and functions described in this article.

(c)

Monies generated by permit fees assessed pursuant to this article shall be dedicated for use by the department directly for administration of the alarm program and for recovery of general police services lost to false alarm response.

(d)

The alarm administrator conducts an annual evaluation and analysis of the effectiveness of this article and identifies and implements system improvements, as warranted.
