§ 13-9. Enforcement of judgment.

  • The judgment of the municipal court shall be enforced by imprisonment of any defendant adjudged guilty therein until the fine, cost and fees assessed against the defendant shall have been paid or until the same shall have been satisfied at the rate provided by the Texas Code of Criminal Procedure for each day or part thereof that the defendant remains in jail; and any such judgment may also be enforced by execution against the property of the defendant judged guilty by the court. The court shall commit the defendant to the custody of the chief of police until such fine and any costs and fees assessed against the defendant shall have been paid.
