§ 20-8. Direct residential access to thoroughfares.

  • Except as provided in section 20-9 of this Code, no curb cut shall be made from R-1 or R-2 zoned property onto streets designated primary arterial, minor arterial or a primary collector on the official thoroughfare plan of the city; provided, however, where lots heretofore platted have less than seventy (70) feet of frontage on the street other than a primary arterial, minor arterial or primary collector, a curb cut shall be allowed onto such thoroughfares. Residential lots with frontage only onto a collector or arterial street shall be restricted to rear entry garages.
