§ 20-26. Cutting of improved streets.

(a)

No underground utility installation shall be placed under a permanently improved street except by boring or jacking such crossing from curb line to curb line.

(b)

An open cut shall be permitted only with the approval of the public works department in such case as it is impractical to bore or jack under a permanently improved street due to the presence of rock or other obstruction, and the repair of such cut shall be in accordance with section 20-25.
