§ 23-42. Return of passenger's property.

(a)

Upon finding property in a taxicab left by a passenger, the driver shall, within a reasonable time, deliver the property to the holder who employs or contracts with the driver.

(b)

Upon return of property to the holder, the driver shall prepare a written report stating the description of the property, the identity of the owner if known, the date the property was left in the taxicab, the circumstances relating to the loss and the taxicab number. The holder shall keep the report on file for at least one (1) year and shall hold the property for not less than three (3) months.
