§ 24-62. U-turns.

  • Unless otherwise directed by an official traffic-control device, sign, or signal placed in accordance with this chapter, or upon order of any duly constituted police officer, no "U" turn shall be made by the driver of any vehicle at any intersection where electric traffic-control or stop signs are in operation. "U" turns are prohibited between intersections, but may be made at intersections where no such traffic-control devices are in operation, unless such turn is prohibited. Turning from a parked position to the left between intersections to travel in the opposite direction is hereby defined as a "U" turn, within the meaning of this section.
