§ 2-11. City purchasing agent.

  • A city purchasing agent shall be appointed by the city manager and, under his direction, shall make all purchases for the city. The purchasing agent shall have full authority to purchase or provide for the purchase of all personal property, materials, supplies and equipment for the use of all city functions, departments, commissions and boards comprising the city government. In order to provide guidance and direction, the purchasing agent, with the approval of the city manager, shall establish purchasing regulations to be published and furnished to the various departments in the form of a purchasing manual.
