§ 2-116. Election to participate.

On behalf of the city, the city council hereby exercises its option and elects to have the city, and all of the employees of all departments of the city, participate in the Texas Municipal Retirement System; effective November 1, 1964, as provided in Chapter 453, Acts of the Sixty-Seventh Legislature, as amended (Vernon's Ann. Civ. St. Title 110B, Chapter 61 et seq.), and all of the benefits and obligations of such system are hereby accepted.
