§ 5-190. Liability for damages.

  • Where action is taken by the electrical inspector to enforce the provisions of this article, such acts shall be done in the name of and on behalf of the city; and the inspector, in so acting for the city, shall not render himself personally liable for any damage which may accrue to persons or property as a result of any act committed in good faith in the discharge of his duties, and any suit brought against the inspector by reason thereof shall be defended by the city attorney until final termination of the proceedings contained therein.
