§ 6-24. Right of city to cancel privileges.

  • In addition to all other rights and powers pertaining to the city by virtue of any franchise or otherwise, the city shall have the power and right to terminate and cancel all rights and privileges of any operator to operate within the city if he:

    (1)

    Violates any material provision of its franchise or of this chapter;

    (2)

    Attempts to evade any material provision of its franchise or practices any fraud or deceit upon the city;

    (3)

    Fails to begin or complete construction as provided under its franchise;

    (4)

    Fails to operate a first-class system in accordance with the highest standards of the industry.
